Ansly Damus hugs Gary Benjamin after Ansly was released from an ICE facility on Friday November 30, 2018 in Brooklyn Heights, OH. Damus, who is from Haiti has been detained since 2016 after coming to the United States to seek asylum. Ansly was released on Friday to live with Benjamin and his wife, Melody Hart.
